Role: Security Engineer

Work Location: Chennai

Work Experience: 2 – 5 years

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our team. The Linux Infrastructure Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our Linux-based systems and infrastructure. This position will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls to protect against potential vulnerabilities and attacks.

Responsibilities:

– Design, implement, and manage security measures for Linux-based systems, including servers, networks, and applications.

– Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks and weaknesses in the Linux infrastructure.

– Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards specifically for Linux-based systems.

– Monitor and analyse security logs, investigate security incidents, and respond to security breaches in a timely and effective manner.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the Linux infrastructure throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

– Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions.

– Conduct security audits on the Linux infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

– Provide guidance and support to system administrators and other teams to ensure secure configuration and operation of Linux systems.

– Participate in incident response activities, including forensics, root cause analysis, and developing mitigation strategies.

– Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.

Expected requirement:

– Proven work experience as a Security Engineer(Linux Infrastructure) or a similar role.

– Strong knowledge of Linux OS (especially Debian)

– Should have knowledge of understanding/reading Linux Opensource projects source code.

– knowledge in ebpf/xdp, kernel live patching concepts.

– strong knowledge of Linux kernel

– Good hands on CTF Skills.

– Good scripting knowledge.

– Basic knowledge in c program.

– Good knowledge in HIDS/EDR solutions.
